My true identity abides in You.

Me … beloved of God.

“My holiness remains the light of Heaven and the love of God.” [CE W-283.1:5]

This lesson has me thinking of all the endearing phrases a parent may say to their child:

You are my sunshine …

Love you to the moon and back …

The apple of his father’s eye …

Although not a practice in my family line, I can see how these phrases are meant to spark the light within a child to feel the love of the parent. This is what this lesson is offering to me. I felt it with the line I quoted above.

My holiness, that eternal something that God created to distinguish me from the field of ALL, is endearing to God. The light of Love sparks back and forth between Parent and Child.

‘This little light of mine; I’m gonna let it shine.’

This seems the thing to do. It seems logical but more so, it’s the desire of my heart. It is who I am.

“My holiness remains the light of Heaven and the Love of God.”

I chose this line from the lesson as my thoughts have been on the Workbook introduction which states of the two sections of the book: “the first dealing with the undoing of the way you see now, and the second with the acquisition of true perception.” (W-Introduction.3.1)

There has been so much ‘undoing’ in my life that has striped away much of how I identified myself. Now, I wish to get to the next part. I want to know my true Self – without doubts. This lesson says that I am ready … so let it be now! Amen.

“Now are we one in shared identity, with God our Father as our only Source, and everything created part of us.”

“My true identity abides in you.”

In my notes, reflection, yesterday on Lesson 282, I came to greater understanding of what this lesson today teaches. We are all together, part of the system, the dynamic of God.

I am Love as God is Love, but not separate.

‘Created in His image’ has been misunderstood by me – I am not a separate being who looks like God. The thought of a hologram is truly helping here. God’s image expansive across all Creation and I form within it, containing all the features and properties of the Whole. Created with God. Created like God. Created a part of God.

My first reaction to this lesson is to block even trying to see myself as God when I just acknowledged that I am lacking in expressing love.

But something is tugging at me – the golden thread pulling me toward Source and a solution or new awareness. What Lord?
