Today belongs to Love. Let me not fear.

I choose Love.
“Father, today I would let all things be as You created them, and give Your Sons the honor due their sinlessness…” [CE W-274.1:1]
In my special relationships, I am still reactionary. Past experiences still hold part of my psyche which leads me into immediate defensiveness. I don’t want to feel again what I felt in the past so my mind makes up stories in response. My stories are typically a tale made to have my loved one change their mind so that I can be ok.
I am watching the Apple TV series Ted Lasso. It is a bit crude for me at times, and I am not into football, but the way the characters relate to each other is uplifting. The people are honest about their own feelings as well as caring about what others may be dealing with. It is a beautiful program to me as it shows the possibilities of a world with loving-kindness. The characters can be unapologetically angry or crude, but it is always received with welcome for the truth of the intention behind the word. The characters accept that personalities are different. Angry people can remain angry as it is honest; joyful people can be weirdly gleeful and accepted for their honesty; egocentric characters are accepted into the comradery when they share their honest pain.
I think that I have feared being honest, like it is more important to be good. This shows that I am still concerned with what people think of me. This is helping me to see that loving-kindness is not saying kind things that smooth over a conversation. Instead, it is being honest with my thoughts and emotions along with caring what the other person honestly feels.
Today belongs to love. Help me to see. _/\_

I am feeling anxious today. An easy day has become complicated by needing to get Earl to the vet due to and injury. Why do I seem more sensitive to changes lately – making me feel anxious?
They are just ripples in the peace of Love’s flow. More noticeable perhaps as most days are still. The ripples form because I resist what is flowing toward me (just my resistance to the unexpected instead of trusting Love.)
I trust God. I trust life. I trust my Self to nudge me back into the flow.

I think my mom has come to her last days (but I could be wrong). I hold a peacefulness about it. Her body’s health has been a roller coaster, so I’ve come to understand that I can’t predict what will happen. I am grateful for the peace, but this lesson reminds me to call in the Love.
Great Love, please bless this time, the place that Mom is, and all the people who come to her. _/\_

This day is given to Love. Thank you, Lord for this day. Please assist me in bringing loving-kindness to all I encounter. Thank you for this body with its messages it provides for my growth. Thank you for my support team and the increased ease I feel to ask for help.
