How can illusions satisfy God’s son?

Illusions cannot make me happy.
“Today we pass illusions by.” [CE W-272.2:1]
Are there things in this world that satisfy me? What are the things that I want that I believe will bring satisfaction? The feelings that Love gives me is what I want: peace, joy, truth.
The song title ‘I can’t get no satisfaction’ comes to mind. Before my ‘waking-up’, I sought validation of my thoughts and beliefs from loved ones and the world. Finding satisfaction was rare. Once awareness of my eternal Self was with me, what brought me satisfaction shifted away from needing support of my worldly self.
Synchronicities filled my life, leading me to more and more understanding of my true Self. I have looked at these occurrences as HS validating my thoughts based on my past frame of reference. Looking at it today, it was, and is, a teacher and pupil relationship.
I would be introduced to an idea to contemplate. Many times I would procrastinate or resist considering the idea. It would keep appearing in my everyday experiences until I accepted that I needed to spend time in contemplation to see what it had to teach me.
How can illusions satisfy someone when we all hold the potential for limitless growth? Deep within, we each desire so much more than this world can ever provide.
Love is the great Teacher, and Satisfy-er.

“Love will happily replace all fear.”
For a week or more, I’ve been taking the time to read each lesson title 3-times. This is as I noticed myself reading the lesson and then needing to go back to the title to confirm the context of the lesson. I found that this new method slows my breathing, and brings me into alignment for hearing the lesson.
How can illusions satisfy God’s child, me? How can the false world that I create in my mind give, enrich, nurture this being within who seeks for so much?
Love can quench my thirst. I am the one to choose to see its flow in this world and then, to put aside fear to float in what God offers. <3

As I read the lesson title, I asked myself, ‘do we, God’s children, believe we can be satisfied?’ The following thoughts came: do we know what we want? Do we believe we deserve anything?
“Can illusions bring me happiness?”
This quote gave me clarity that we want happiness to be satisfied. That desire is innate in us all.
“Heaven can be chosen just as easily as hell.”
Heaven is always here. I get to choose. But I want to know how I came to block it. Why isn’t it here flowing it happy dance all through my energy field?
Because I must do everything my way! I can see that I am this way because of life circumstances, my personality type and life experiences. Most of this I did not choose. But, as an individual awareness, I am blessed with the gift of choice. I choose Love, connection, joining. I don’t want to believe I am out here on my own anymore.

Am I content with illusions? No. I like to be comfortable, so this is what I must stay aware of when choosing.
I desire to be connected to HS, God, Jesus, Love, and all its forms. But I also desire to be connected to other humans. I want companions who I can share my desire for God with, to seek together, to have uplifting conversations that bring more clarity and help to release the temptations of illusion … and comfort.
Where would you have me go? What would you have me do? What would you have me say, and to whom?
