ACIM Lesson 266 notes.

My holy Self abides in you, God’s son.

In Christ, my true Self is held eternally. In Christ, I am.

“How can we lose the way to Him, when He has filled the world with those who point to Him and given us the sight to look on them?” [CE W-266.2:3]

This line felt uplifting when I read it. Any gift from God is welcome. How many years did I not know that I carried these gifts with me, that my choice to use them would open me to joy and to growth?

Perhaps, the best part of being a spiritual seeker was noticing the good in others. I enjoyed a few reality TV shows, like ‘Biggest Loser’, as I loved seeing on their faces the moment of transformation when their minds chose to pick something different, something for their higher good. Also, watching Oprah as she introduced me to a new teacher on ‘Super Soul Sunday’. Then there, having a simple sentence inspire a new idea or connect the dots to what I had been contemplating that week.

Yes, I feel inspired that this world is filled with people who hold just the right jewel for me to receive at the right moment. I walk with my brothers and sisters in community of sharing God’s gifts to emphasize our holiness.

“This day we enter into paradise.”

This lesson calls us to Oneness, Christ vision, compassion. Is it really possible that we are all the same inside? My mind is full of arguments right now, wanting me to limit this idea down to a small part of mind that we may all share.

I don’t know. What I do know is that anything is possible, and that Love is Source of All.

Are we really so different?

There could be no compassion if we could never relate to another. No community if we could find no connection. No teaching or mentorship, if we were so different we could not share our experiences.

My relations go better when I feel compassion, when I see myself in another person. My heart is open so my True Self shares what is needed for the relationship. (Perhaps I should say ‘our’ True Self!)

God’s Children, we abide in You.

“And in them [all Your Children] does Christ look back at me from my Self.”

I am seen. I wish to be seen.

This lesson says that others see me. And they, like me, are capable of seeing with Christ vision.

There are open hearts in this world. Hands open, to the service to the needy as Jesus asked of us. They are here for me if I get needy. I am not alone.

Do they struggle with fear like I do – wanting to do the right thing and serve others, but afraid it will be overwhelming?

Do my siblings strive each day to find love in their hearts, to stop judging, and change the way they see things to find compassion for others?

Yes!?

If so, this is a truly wonderful world.

“How many saviors God has given us.”

Lord, help me to look on others this way, as the eyes of Christ looking back at me.

Let my peers want to offer to me, your Love and Truth for my healing as much as I want to offer your blessings on them.

Please help me to be humble and to know to give way to Your way. Thank you.
