I am surrounded by the Love of God.

Love holds me.

“There is no source but this, and nothing is that does not share its holiness; that stands beyond Your one creation or without the love which holds all things within itself.” [CE W-264.1:5]

This lesson brings me right to wanting to experience God. A pause, with a few breaths, and a mind quiet holding only the intention to join to my Source. Love and light enter my being, and all is well in this moment.

I was in conversation the other day with another Course student. We had different understandings of a concept. I spent time afterward looking for the quotes to support my position.

The Buddhist idea of ‘the finger pointing at the moon’ kept coming to mind. This said to me that my attention was on being a good Course student by memorization of the text. I don’t think this is what Jesus wants for us.

This lesson is a gift that brings to us a moment of experience with our ultimate goal: connection to God, a return to Love, Oneness, atonement – many names for what I seek.

I’m feeling grateful for this time of experience of God.

“You are in all things I look upon, the sounds I hear, and every hand that reaches for my own.”

From the repetitive reading of the lead section, What is the body?, I feel good about the functions of the body to “extend(s) his hand to reach his brother”.

The Love of God surrounds me. It also is me.
