I am in need of nothing but the Truth.

Only Love gives me truth.
“My only need I did not recognize. But now I see that I need only truth.” [CE W-251.1:4-5]
I work so hard to hold back the flow of Love through me. Why am I so intent on having to evaluate and control what Love wants to bring into this world through me?
This morning I picked some beautiful dahlias from my garden to place in a vase in my kitchen. In my home, the flowers just bring color and light to make it a happier place for my family to live in. Does God ask more of me then to show my true colors into this world? I fear effort and conflict with others in my interactions with others.
And yet, through the guidance of HS, I know that I will know what to say and do to give is meant to be given in any encounter. Trust Tricia!

“In that all needs are satisfied, all cravings end, all hopes are finally fulfilled and dreams are gone.”
As I read the lesson, I felt unsure what truth I was looking for. In today’s world it is very obvious that truth is variable as it relates to the beliefs of people. With her notes, Hollie got me centered.
She told of how her kids were taught to count in school. It began with the children being given a stick to represent the number one; from there the stick could be broken down into pieces representing the other numbers. ‘One is truth’, I said to myself. Then the children were given the image of the Sun to represent the number one. This is also truth for me.
When I was on retreat for seminary, I saw manifest for me all the aspects of Love that have become obvious during the year of ACIM lessons. I see Love as light, peace, joy, truth, and strength. At the retreat, truth showed itself through conversations about authenticity. I saw that I was authentic when I was honest within myself, to myself; basically expressing my true Self. My true Self knows they are part of the Whole, Child of the Sun, and an expression of All That Is.
I am in need of nothing but connection to God. This is my truth. This is my authentic Self. This is who I am when I remove the blocks to the flow of Love.

“I sought for many things … But now see that I need only truth. In that all things are satisfied …”
This lesson was a smooth, easy read; each word being my truth.
To be in this world and, in brief moments, to receive recognition of God’s truth is true bliss.

When recently doing editing on my novel, my main character has a major life decision to make. She asks herself, what do I want? When I asked this question of myself my answer is, connection with God.
The daily reflection from Richard Rohr (CAC, Center for Action and Contemplation) described why this is, and who I am.
“He has experienced the absolute, and the relative will never again totally satisfy him. He aches for God, and the aching now becomes seeking.”
Today’s CAC reflection described a person after a peak/mystical experience. They go on living, but frustrated as others don’t understand them. They are hypocritical as they fall back into this world but always knowing the greater Truth.
“We know the truth, even though we can never live up to it. Hence forward, the only sin would be to deny that it is the truth.” CAC 9-8-2022.
