Forgiveness offers everything I want.

“The world can give no gifts of any value to a mind which has received what God has given as its own.” [CE W-122.7:5]

This is truth; I have received God’s gifts.

For this lesson’s reflection, I was feeling great gratitude for the insight I had with lesson 121. I am open to seeing differently my reactions to others. I have judged love, tried to manipulate it and control it to be what I believe love is meant to be. So, I have not been a receiver of love as I have blocked it. Again, I ask, who am I to judge how love is given to me?

I am seeing differently. My loved ones have done nothing wrong – my beliefs have blocked their extensions of love toward me.

I recall that in the Text it says that there is a treasure house holding all of the gifts we chose not to receive, waiting, ready for us to be open to them. When I read about this, I was not really sure what this treasure house might hold except for the gifts we are told that God offers us. Now I see that it is full of all the love offerings that I pushed aside as I did all that I believed that I was supposed to do.

I will take whatever way love is offered to me; I am open to receive. This offers everything I want.

ONE problem – belief in separation.

One answer – forgiveness.

“Today I have accepted this as true. Today I have received the gifts of God.”

Forgiveness is … everything.

In yesterday’s webinar with Robert and Hollie, Robert described the whole of ACIM as being a teaching on forgiveness. Everything I release. Everything I see differently. Everything I choose to bring Love to. Every time I pause before I react, I bring forgiveness into the world.

Holy child of God in action. This is truly what I want.

Robert told us to call for help from the Angel of Forgiveness. And for us to realize that in our interaction (and grievances) that the Angel of Forgiveness is the third energy present to transform the blockages and bring miracles.

During the webinar meditation, I brought in the Angel of Forgiveness who stood behind and over my left shoulder. I wondered why my right side was open. The Angel of Love came to stand in that place. I felt wrapped in the security of these great beings.

Later: I was thinking of the two angels and the thought of ‘giving and receiving’ came to me. Knowing the Angel of Love is giving to me, I realized that forgiveness is me giving. In forgiveness I am letting go, releasing blocks, offering my heart to another.

How have I gone so long not knowing this stuff about forgiveness!

I’m looking forward to this period of learning about forgiveness. The first two days have been enlightening and inspiring.
