Let me be still and listen to the truth.

“What does it mean to go e and to receive?” (8.4)

Before sleep, I went into quiet reflection on this question. I heard, ‘Life!’ I then had the image of electrons transferring from atom to atom. The door of my mind was opened to let understanding in. Love is the electron between each of us. When we block ourselves from giving and receiving of love we are not living.

Next my thoughts went to a seed. In the seed is all the energy and food to get the plant to the seedling stage (to have true leaves to collect sunlight). Perhaps we are born with all the energy we need to extend love to get to young adulthood — then our drive for coupling kicks in and we are meant to grow in love. In loving relationships, we thrive — extending love, we grow and mature. Without love, our food source, we will shrivel and die

“I will be still and listen to the truth. What does it mean to give and receive?”

There have been tensions in my life the last few days. I have wobbled between fear and trusting Love. It appears as though I have done enough to let Love trickle in as I feel I am within a greater flow of Love. Giving is much easier and everyday I see blessings.

Living in gratitude. <3

“My voice is His, to give what I receive.”

As I sit in my practice, ‘Love’ is what I hear. I would like more specifics: what, when, who?

I sense the when is not now … that this is the important stuff … ACIM … family. And, my settling into myself, accepting Tricia as she is without the accomplishments of doing. This is hard work not to work.

“I used to be somebody!” (This reference came from some old movie!?)

I’m listening, Lord.

What does it mean to give and to receive?

[Love, specialness.]

Specialness has become a troublesome word these days (ie. Snowflakes). Please help me with this.

My thoughts go to a recent interview on Gaia between Regina Meredith and Fr. Sean O’Laoire. Fr. Sean said we all come in with talents and problems, that talent is not ours, it is from God and should flow out. Problems are ours to learn from, from outside experiences.

Does specialness mean to really ‘see’ others, to help them feel special?

[Yes, but more Loved than special.]

So, our talents are meant to be gifts to others, and we can work through our problems by giving. This says to me that both are meant for giving. 😊

Obviously, we also receive as we live in a world with others who have gifts to share.
