ACIM CE Cameo 4 – ‘An example of the shock effect’.
1-7-2025
“With Jesus and my brothers [and sisters], I will make it.”. ~Robert Perry, Day 7 Text commentary.
Reflecting on this cameo, I notice how I too let the Course work come in but don’t always focus. It is like there is an overlying goal of just getting through it.
I like being able to state all of my accomplishments with my study of the Course, and I have seen a lot of growth in becoming more loving with is my evidence of my doing good work. This cameo lesson has me considering what might happen if I change my perspective and shift my goal.
While taking these notes, I received the image of a feast. I pushed the image away as a feast can be overwhelming.
The Course is a feast in Love.
I get it now … it feels ok to just take in what my being is telling me that I am ready to digest. Yes, I need to avoid indifference to the gifts offered and remain in gratitude … as well as awe.
The awe is from the knowing that God lays this feast before me, always. There is no need for me to think that I must just get though it. It is a limitless feast. I will take my time and enjoy each offering. In this way it becomes a life-sustaining part of me.
