Father, my freedom is in You alone.

“… it is my will that I return.”
Having just re-read what I wrote last year for ‘What is Creation’, Part II, Chapter 11 notes, and for this lesson (see below), I don’t feel that there is much to add.
My heart feels full and grateful for the metaphor of the River of Love. I tend to think of this metaphor when I am resisting the flow. That I added ‘support’ from the power of the water is another tool I should use.
Love’s power is unlimited and offers the freedom my soul longs for.

I felt some resistance when I first read this lesson. I had just written about being in relationship with God, as a part of the divine Creation. This lesson now felt limiting.
“I did not understand what made me free, nor what my freedom is, nor where to look to find it.”
Then I thought of what I wrote of us being limitless in our power within God’s creation. We are free and powerful when we are in the flow of relationship with God, when we have given up the belief in separation and of our own limitations.
I am thinking of Love as a river. When we are in the flow we can move and act with support from the power of the water. If we fight the flow, we are weak and limited.

Yes.
I wrote yesterday about my visit with my mother in the nursing home. It appears she is lost in the labyrinth of a dysfunctional mind (as well as held in an institution of structure and schedules outside of her choice). When we are unable to be in the same world together, I try to bring her back to her heart and to the Love of God.
I wish freedom for her. In God, I hope we can come together in peace and understanding.
