ACIM Lesson 160 notes.

I am at home. Fear is the stranger here.

“Identify with fear, and you will be a stranger to yourself.”

In paragraph 4, we are told that love and fear cannot coexist.

“Love, which created me, is what I am.” L229

I am reminded that I am Love – in the image of my Creator. Choosing fear perpetuates the false self and the world of illusions.

Home, peace, serenity is what I feel when I recognize my true Self. <3

What is home? I think of my mother; her brain stuck in confusion, asking to go home. She wants to leave the fear the confusion brings and be back to a place of safety.

Home is in Christ … to go back to where we belong, no longer separate and afraid.

“There’s no place like home. There’s no place like home. There’s no place like home.” ~Wizard of Oz

Dorothy had the power in her ruby slippers, for the whole story, to return to her home in Kansas. In the beauty and excitement of Oz she carried fear of the unknown. For her, home, with its grayness, dust, and tornadoes, was still the safe place as it held the known for her. She found love in the unknown but still longed for the love and comfort of home, the known.

For me, this world is the unknown. But I have found comfort here while I think I am separate from Christ. The Course teaches that Christ is our home and yet I am afraid because that is the unknown.

I am of Love. I admit it is unknown.

And yet, in the presence of my grand daughter it flows easily. I like that place – it feels like it could be a good home. Joy and light are present.

Christ be my home. Here, now, always.
