ACIM Lesson 148 notes.

Review of lessons 135 & 136

“My mind holds only what I think with God.”

135] If I defend my self I am attacked.

I undo by not defending myself, which brings up the question of ‘what is the self I defend in the reactionary way I notice?’

I am reminded of early seminary lessons on different religions, with each lesson I would wonder if I was that religion. Have I been doing this all my life?

I think so … that each new experience I weight up if something is good or bad. The good I take on as part of who I am in my attempt to be connected to more than the small self I sense myself to be. (All the while I long for the sense of the Whole.) I built this persona so I defend it.

This person I defend is made up of random pieces of random experiences chosen at random stages of this life’s journey. (Had I known what I was doing I would have planned for a better design. LOL)

Who God created me to be is enough and doesn’t need defending.

And … any personal conflicts in this world can only be with another Hold Child of God.

136] Sickness is a defense against truth.
