ACIM Lesson 56 notes.

Review of lessons 26-30

[26] My attack thoughts are attacking my invulnerability.

[27] Above all else I want to see.

[28] Above all else I want to see differently.

[29] God is in everything I see.

[30] God is in everything I see because God is in my mind.

It is hard to recognize my True Self because I am focused on my safety due to everything that puts me at risk in the world. This makes me reactive. Control has been my tool of illusion. Still God hold me.

“God is the strength in which I trust.” (L47)

I am in need of true vision to let go of fear to see the beauty and Love in my world. My fears have clouded Love’s light from my vision. It is my will to know my unity with God’s Will. Love always is.

I will to see Love in all things. I have not been forgotten by God/Love. I remain a thought in the mind of God.

[26] My attack thoughts are attacking my invulnerability.

“Yet perfect security and complete fulfillment are my inheritance.”

[27] Above all else I want to see.

“Recognizing that what I see reflects what I think I am, I realize that vision is my greatest need.”

[28] Above all else I want to see differently.

“… that I may look past it (this world) to the world that reflects the Love of God.”

[29] God is in everything I see.

“God is still everywhere and in everything forever.”

[30] God is in everything I see because God is in my mind.

“I have not lost the knowledge of Who I am because I have forgotten it.”

Last night I watched Regina Meredith interview Joseph Selbie on Gaia’s ‘Open Minds’. In his book, ‘the Physics of God’, he told of people with multiple personality disorder, that have been studied, who show physical changes occur between the personalities presenting. They may have moles, scars, and other marks, appear and disappear based on which personality that is present. Perhaps here is a bit of validation for the Course and what it says regarding the world that we see.

“The world I see holds my fearful self-image in place, and guarantees its continuance.”
