ACIM Lesson 47 notes.

God is the strength in which I trust.

“Remember that peace is your right, because you are giving your trust to the strength of God.”

Who will I rely on for my safety? Will it be God, or will it be my ego?

I appreciate my ego for its role in monitoring this world and advising me to keep me safe. Why did it have to take over … to block my connection to Source? And, so much so, that I lost trust in God.

As I think over historic events, I can understand why people came to rely on their own problem-solving abilities to find solutions to dangerous situations. Is it that it takes higher consciousness to find the peace within and hear the guidance? (I am thinking of a peace that allows the flow of Love to be felt and with it, feeling the trust innate within the peace.)

Which came first, hurt, defensive (full of blocks) humans or peaceful, in the flow humans? (From evidence of today, if there was an early peaceful culture, they definitely suffered trauma as evidenced by the blocks to Love we all experience.)

“Order, disorder, re-order.” ~ Fr. Richard Rohr

Is it all just big, long cycles that I experience moments of a greater whole?

“Move away from God; move toward God; move in God.” ~ a Sufi saying.

I am meant to trust the whole (timeless, eternal) … to let things be.

Peace is my right. I will feel it when I am trusting God over my own efforts to settle a world that is in disorder.

“God is the strength in which I trust.”

(Sorry little ego, you are not going to arrive at solutions to overcome the patterns of the Cosmos.)

Feeling humble just now.

When it came to the practice period, to think of situations I am fearful of, I thought of my kids. They are grown up now and their lives don’t look like what I had wanted or expected. But still, their lives are good and are their own.

“God is the strength in which I trust.”

I realized that my kids are well prayed over, and that I’ve trusted in God for a long time. God has always come through for us…a well proven track record.

Thank you, God.

“There is a place in you where there is perfect peace. There is a place where nothing is impossible. There is a place in you where the strength of God abides.”
