“I place the peace of God in your heart and in your hands, to hold and share. The heart is pure to hold it, and the hands are strong to give it.” (16.6-7)

Robert Perry’s commentary today really helped me to understand what was spoken of in paragraph 7, about ideas that we won’t share. Robert offered an example of a secret idea of ‘only me’.

Yes, this idea (belief) lives in me and has never been sharable.

“The Atonement cannot be understood except as a pure act of sharing.” (8.1)

Atonement, a healed ‘Son of God’, which is the whole Child of God as created by God, can only occur when me, and others, release the idea of separation. My deep belief in ‘only me’ is false in the way my ego has applied it in my life — that every choice is in some way defensive to protect the safety and comfort of Tricia.

I had the thought that the mind of Christ may use the belief ‘only me’ re-interpreted as ‘only one’. All are equal and one in Christ, sharing one mind and one will. (‘Only me’ seems a mis-creation of the ego applying a higher level idea to this world of illusion.)

I recognize this idea in me now, so it is time to release and replace.
