Sunday 8-10-14 The missing piece

“There are no extra pieces in the universe. Everyone is here because he or she has a place to fill, and every piece must fit itself into the big jigsaw puzzle.” ~ Deepak Chopra

Happy Sunday!

Last week I became enthralled with watching and listening to the messages of the channelled entity Abraham-Hicks.   I have gained so much understanding from the messages of this Master being.
Abraham likes to speak in general terms and admits to that.  As I listen, my mind must translate the broad message into my own understanding from the experiences and lessons I have received on my personal journey.
For example, many times in working through my lessons on this blog I have returned to the Truth of ‘you reap what you sow’.  This is the ‘law of attraction’ as Abraham presents it.  And, when I wrote 2 weeks ago about resistance is also the ‘law of attraction’ in the negative sense of ‘what you resist persists’.
Early this week I listened to a clip in which someone asked Abraham about the channelled entity Bashar.  Abraham said Bashar brought the message with more detail.  I said to myself that I want to know more detail!
I have listened to many people ask questions of Bashar on a broad array of subjects; questions of Earth history, aliens, Jesus and the other saints, as well as the nature of God.  It was wonderful to hear such wisdom and clarity on the nature of God as Bashar presented it.  He has helped me to understand what those big words – what omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent truly mean.
In a very special way Bashar was able to bring each message back to the role of each of us, the individual.  My heart was touched when he said “without you the whole universe is incomplete”.
Bashar spoke of how life on Earth makes our minds think we are something other than what we are.  Our perception of self is altered by all of the roles and expectations that are put on us; of all the ways we act and behave to conform to the roles others want from us.
Bashar validated for me the importance of knowing and acting from my Self.  He said that we are created to be who we are and when we don’t act authentically as ourselves our piece of the puzzle won’t fit with those surrounding us.
This is beautiful.
This is the lessons I learned from the Sufi teachings – polishing the mirror of the heart.  The light of your being cannot shine onto others until you work to understand and reveal your true self.  Your heart is the mirror of your soul, once you have cleared the false self away it will shine outward in service.
I like this analogy of the puzzle but I have had another analogy in my mind this week to ponder in my understanding of my individual place in the whole.  I have been thinking of myself as a leaf on a tree.
As a leaf on a tree I am unique but part of the whole.  I function within the system.  If I am a leaf on a maple tree and I decide to present myself as a watermelon I will crowd out my brother leaves and perhaps burden the whole branch – I expect I will be dropped (bad karma).  If I decide to present myself as a tiny little leave, less than my potential, I am not bringing in the light from the Sun and not doing my part to service the whole.  The other leaves will crowd me out and I will die off before my time.  If the next spring I choose to return small again the same thing will happen until I realize I need to present my true whole self.
Thank you Lord for understanding!

Peace and light to you this day!

“Life is a gift, I accept it. Life is an adventure, I dare it. Life is a mystery, I’m unfolding it. Life is a puzzle, I’m solving it. Life is a game, I play it. Life can be a struggle, I’m Facing it. Life is beauty, I Praise it. Life is an opportunity, I Took it. Life is my mission, I’m fulfilling it!”  ~ Anon
