T-17-II The Beauty of the Real World.

“Can you imagine how beautiful those you forgive will look to you? … For you will see the Son of God. You will behold the beauty that the Holy Spirit loves to look upon.” (1.1,5-6)

This morning, I began reading ‘The Wisdom of Jesus’ by Cynthia Bourgeault. In the first few pages she asks us to imagine being in the presence of Jesus 2000 years ago. What was it that had so many people saying ‘yes’ to changing their lives to follow him? Cynthia uses the term `recognition energy’ which I describe as feeling the rise of truth within when looking upon someone or something.

“From the forgiven world, the Son of God is lifted easily to his home. And there he knows that he has always rested there in peace. “ (7.1-2)

Forgiving is choosing truth.
