What is the Real World?

“And as we look upon a world forgiven, it is He Who calls to us and comes to take us home, reminding us of our Identity which our forgiveness has restored to us.”

As I read this introduction, the parable of ‘the Prodigal Son’ came to mind to help me to understand (as it regularly does).

The son went through the places of engagement with the material world. He felt despair and pain when it let him down. He came to wholeness when he returned to his father where he found forgiveness in the form of unconditional love.
