ACIM Lesson 360 notes.

Peace be to me, the holy son of God. Peace to my brother, who is one with me. Let all the world be blessed with peace through us.

“Peace be to me.”

This lesson feels similar to my practice this month for seminary. It is a guided meditation based on Buddhist mantras (called metta) where you work on finding loving-kindness, first for yourself before you expand it out to others and to the world.

A few weeks ago, when I began this practice, I felt resistance to calling for Love for myself. Now it feels easy and appropriate. Here is my mantra:

May I be filled with loving-kindness.
May I be free from suffering and fear.
May I accept myself and others completely.
May I be happy and at peace.

~From Rev. Diane Burke’s ‘Developing and Deepening Your Spiritual Practice.’

As the meditation proceeds, this request is offered to another person and then to the world. The offer of peace in the title of this lesson expands in the same way.

One Love. One spirit.

Amen!

“Father, it is Your peace that I would give, receiving it of You.”

Thank you, God, for Your peace.

Dear Father, I wish to know always, deep in my being, that Your peace is with me, for me, in me.
With ease I want to share Your peace with others. Thank you.

I gladly say, “Amen!”
