\nIf you have read my writings about my awakening on my blog then you will know that I attribute the start of my seeking to science television programs and questions about consciousness.
\nPeter and I were out to lunch on Friday and we got into a conversation on consciousness and I told him that I believed that everything had consciousness.\u00a0 This comes from my knowing that everything is made from the same stuff, energy.\u00a0 I believe that I have consciousness because all quantum particles are conscious. Everything: a cell, a rock, the earth, the galaxy, the universe, all that is, being, are conscious.
\nWell Peter said he didn’t agree with me that inanimate objects had consciousness.\u00a0 I wasn’t able at the time to put my thoughts together as to why I believed that. We left our beliefs to differ and moved onto discuss the study of consciousness in the scientific community.
\nMy question was, if there are thousands of witnesses to spiritual experiences, such as contact with deceased loved ones, reincarnation, channeling, and near death experiences, then why does the science community not accept the possibilities based on witness accounts?\u00a0 I was thinking about an incident I read about in the news that happened earlier this year where the “TEDtalks” censored a couple of video lectures from Youtube and labelled them pseudo-science.\u00a0 The talks were both by researchers of consciousness.\u00a0 There was an outcry by other scientists and the public to have the lectures returned for public viewing.\u00a0 This left me with a general resentment, feelings of “them” against “us” now doing battle in the scientific community.\u00a0 I find I can be peaceful about many issues but politics and now this idea of censorship got me upset.\u00a0 I felt for the last six months that science is repressing the evolution of human knowledge as it relates to consciousness and spirituality.
\nMy faith in science has been restored.
\nFriday evening I was on my iPad catching up on all the social media stuff I missed by being busy with vacation stuff.\u00a0 I went onto Twitter for the first time in two weeks and happened to have my attention caught on a retweet link by Deepak Chopra.\u00a0 The link (see *below) took me to the summary article of a PhD dissertation by Jeffery Martin that studied enlightened people.
\nYes folks there now is a scientific term for enlightenment – it is called ‘Persistent Non-Symbolic Experience’ (PNSE).
\nThe article reminded me that there actually are scientists doing this kind of work even with the risk of being ridiculed.\u00a0 This got me thinking more positively.\u00a0 When I considered the science programs I watch like ‘Through the Wormhole’ that show cutting edge scientists studying quantum physics, the brain, and consciousness – some scientists are trying to make sense of it all.\u00a0 With reflection I thought that the news articles on science censorship were a positive thing happening today to bring to light what has been hidden – perhaps science has been restrictive on free thought and it is now coming to light!
\nAnother positive thing came out of my finding this article on PNSE.\u00a0 While reading about the traits of the highest level of enlightened people it said that they have an expansive sense of self.
\n“Often participants talked about feeling that they extended beyond their body, sometimes very far beyond it. One way to conceptualize this for purposes of discussion is as a change from localized to non-localized sense of self.”*<\/i>
\nHere was what I couldn’t verbalize in my conversation with Peter.\u00a0 The article reminded me of where my thoughts on all things having consciousness had developed from, quantum physics, reading scriptures, and and my having read in several books the accounts of people who have had spiritual experiences where they have felt as though they have expanded outside of their bodies to extend across the earth out into the universe.\u00a0 Elizabeth Gilbert experienced it is her book Eat, Pray, Love.\u00a0 In James Redfield’s novel Celestine Prophesy, the main character experiences expansion into the universe. Krishna revealed himself as the expansive universe to Arjuna in the Hindu scripture of the Bhagavad Gita.\u00a0 And, of course, there is the Buddha.
\nSaturday night I thought I had finished writing this post so I returned to iPad to do some reading.\u00a0 I am currently reading the Jeshua Channelings at jeshua.net (‘The Way of the Lightworker’ page) and ‘low and behold!’, I read the following:
\n“You have now manifested in bodily form, located in time and space, but there is so much more to who you are. I ask you to now feel this grand and unlimited consciousness that you are part of.\u00a0 Feel God within and feel how simple this energy is.\u00a0 God is not at the top of some hierarchy looking down at you. God is the flow of energy that runs through everything: through you, through all living beings on Earth and even through what seem to be inanimate things in your material environment. God is everywhere.”<\/i>
\nI used to think that I was not meant to understand past what my five senses told me.\u00a0 Now everywhere I turn my attention the answers to my questions of God and existence are revealed.
\nI was blind and now I see.
\nMy unified theory: quantum particles have consciousness so all things have consciousness.\u00a0 Through the quantum property of entanglement all systems are connected so our consciousness can release from our body to join again with particles of the universe to join the greater awareness, God.<\/p>\n“Although you appear in earthly form<\/i><\/h6>\n
