Why can\u2019t I care more? \nEach effort trying to scale the walls of an unnamed fortress. \nSo dark, unknown, \nI dare not ask to know.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse\">Don\u2019t come too close, \nDear ones of mine, beware of my sting \non approach to my hidden mystery. \nI\u2019ll do what is expected of me, \nbut fling resentment when you don\u2019t do what I expect of you.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse\">Yes ... finally, \nresentment offers a doorway to enter. \nWhy do I do what I do? \nA mystery no more. \nA thought became a life-long belief \u2026 I am unlovable.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse\">Where is the proof? There is none.<\/pre>\n\n\n\n<pre class=\"wp-block-verse\">A castle fades in the mist. \nA new morning reveals sunshine on a thriving garden, \nsmart enough to know all along, \nthat no shadow loomed over it. \nIt was all illusion.<\/pre>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>TBS 7-21-2023 poem.
