Thoughts = images \u2026 therefore \u2026 images = thoughts<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt is because the thoughts you think you think appear as images that you do not recognize them as nothing. You think you think them, and so you think you see them. This is how your \u201cseeing\u201d was made. This is the function you have given your body\u2019s eyes. It is not seeing. It is image making. It takes the place of seeing, replacing vision with illusions.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n I don\u2019t truly see because I don\u2019t know — I just don’t realize that I don’t know. <\/p>\n\n\n\n My thoughts move quickly to describe and classify what is in my view before what is there can show itself to me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Curiosity as my intention might be the little break that I need to pause my thoughts for a moment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I want to truly see \u2026 to get to know who and what is here with me. In this way I give up on being alone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Hi friend! Who are you?<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n I was excited to read this lesson, I hoped to gain more understanding of seeing. I recall lessons from last year where I wondered what the Course considered \u2018seeing\u2019. It was easy for me to understand that truly seeing other people was to see their light, but I didn\u2019t recall this lesson speaking of thought as images. Or that, with our vision, we will start to see the light around things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYou will begin to understand it when you have seen little edges of light around the same familiar objects. That is the beginning of real vision.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n This sounds familiar. In James Redfield\u2019s \u2018Celestine Prophecy\u2019 book, he had this as a step toward enlightenment\/ascension.
