\u201cYour peace surrounds me.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Although this lesson seems to focus on God\u2019s peace, my mind is still on safety from yesterday\u2019s lesson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When I went for my walk yesterday, I found a podcast from \u2018Circle of Atonement\u2019 discussing what ACIM has to say about safety. What I gleaned from this podcast was first, that we live in a world that promotes strength and defenses to feel safe. Next, Robert Perry described how ACIM explains why we feel unsafe:<\/p>\n\n\n\n He sold me on this theory by describing my own thoughts after an interaction, that of reviewing my words and finding fault. This shows guilt. The podcast offered the mindfulness practice of kindness, to consciously practice kind responses to others. So, not a quick fix, but a practice that I am willing to undertake.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I found in today\u2019s lesson a boost to my motivation. That is that I will be surrounded by God\u2019s peace. My brain has already begun thinking of relationships, their interactions, and how I should change my reactions. I don\u2019t require problem solving. It will be from choosing peace and speaking from my heart that will change my defensiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYour peace is within me, [my Father-Mother-God]. I am safe.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n This is as I am Love, light, and peace as Your holy Child.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I am safe!<\/p>\n\n\n\n On my first read of the lesson, I felt resistance to the request, \u2018send them to me\u2019. I don\u2019t know what to do with all the people who are hurting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As I prepare to start seminary this month, the self-assessment I\u2019ve been working on came to mind. I\u2019m going back to school to learn to serve. So, just like my seminary self-assessment, this lesson is showing me that I don\u2019t need to know anything to serve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cYour peace surrounds, Father. Where I go, Your peace goes there with me.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n I just need to be as I was created. I can choose to let go control and return to the Presence of Love that I am \u2013 where Love\u2019s peace abides.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <3 I am love. I am light. I am peace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “Send them to me, my Father. Let me bring your peace with me.<\/em>“<\/p>\n\n\n\n When reading this line, I said, \u201cwait a minute. Send them to whom?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n I\u2019m not ready. I see this relates to my lesson on trusting God and asking for help, to surrender to God\u2019s way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I don\u2019t know how to bring peace to others. This has got to be God\u2019s way. My brothers are so troubled. This is an enormous problem that I can\u2019t solve.
