\u201cThere is no death because the Father and the Son are one.\u201d<\/em> [CE W-167.1:7]<\/p>\n\n\n\n I found this lesson confusing as I wanted to understand what it says about the mind in paragraph 6. I thought that it was mind that created this world as the Course says God did not.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Anyway, I quickly turned to Robert\u2019s commentary to see if he could explain things. First I liked how he brought this lesson together with lesson 163-There is no death. The Son of God is free<\/em>. He said that L163 teaches that death is abstract and that this lesson teaches that life is abstract. True life, in this lesson, is the eternal Loving-joy nature of God.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Of my question about the mind, Robert didn\u2019t address but he did offer some relief. He said that perhaps we are not meant to understand this life being a dream within a dream of sleep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cA sleeping mind must waken, as it sees its own perfection mirroring the Lord of Life, so perfectly it fades into what is reflected there.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n I woke up twelve years ago to the knowing that I was an eternal soul. I became a seeker of understanding this eternal Self. My understanding grew in knowing more about me (spirit), God (Mind), and All That Is (body).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Here, I have listed divided parts and yet they are all me and all God. Perhaps this being will soon tire of the game and fade back into Oneness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 6-16-2023<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cWe share one life because we have one Source, a Source from which perfection comes to us, remaining always in the holy minds which He created perfect. As we were, so are we now and will forever be. A sleeping mind must waken, as it sees its own perfection mirroring the Lord of life so perfectly it fades into what is reflected there. And now it is no more a mere reflection. It becomes the thing reflected, and the light which makes reflection possible. No vision now is needed. For the wakened mind is one that knows its Source, its Self, its Holiness.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n As an Enneagram type 1, having the need for perfection, I was drawn in by this last paragraph of the lesson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n What is God\u2019s creation? God\u2019s will is perfect Love. All else that we get caught up in, of this world, is of our making.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cEvery experience on the physical, astral, or mental plane is just a dream before the soul.\u201d<\/em> ~Hazrat Inayat Khan (Bowl of Saki email this day.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n I seek the security of God\u2019s perfect place so I can fear no more. The Course tells me to follow God\u2019s will.
