I\u2019m listening God!
\nHe is preparing me for what comes next in my journey.\u00a0 I have been so blessed the last few months with being the conduit for the creative flow of writing.\u00a0 My heart is open and blissful as the story develops with meaning and messages that are so important to where I am on my own spiritual journey of learning.
\nBut, there is new information now coming in about what it might take to get my book out to others that I am not so comfortable with.\u00a0 My inbox has supplied me with some information about publishing a book and it sounds too much like work to me.\u00a0 Also I\u2019ve learned the new term \u2018platform\u2019 that I have to ease my way into feeling comfortable with.
\nWhat is this all about?
\nJust as I was beginning to wonder what comes next when I finish my book, Hay House CEO Reid Tracy has put out some ‘getting started’ videos on publishing a book.\u00a0 I asked and I received right into my email inbox answers to many of my questions. I am uncomfortable with a couple of things that lie ahead that I want to work through to come to acceptance.
\nPlatform \u2013 Reid said that an author needs to have a platform in place.\u00a0 This is a place that an author creates to build their image out in public.\u00a0 In today\u2019s world that is webpages, social media, videos, and the like.\u00a0 I have my blog and I have a Facebook account but I have kept everything low profile; I am even fearful if people were to find my blog.\u00a0 I worry that it is too woo-woo for many and that I won\u2019t handle criticism well.
\nIs my Faith strong enough?
\nYes, I believe my Faith is strong, and I have enough validation coming in from my guides, that I believe I am doing what I am meant to do.\u00a0 What I don\u2019t want to happen is that my ego gets worked up and that I become negative, judgmental, confrontational, or hurtful toward anyone else.\u00a0 Those are all the things I have been working towards releasing so opening myself up to comments by others could be a real test.
\nI don\u2019t want to be tested. \u00a0But, what if I pass!\u00a0<\/em>
\nI am also fearful of rejection by those I care about as I know my beliefs are far from the traditional beliefs of my family elders.\u00a0But, what if I help inspire and empower my loved ones!<\/em>
\nFor two years now I have been blogging and, at the same time avoiding telling anyone that I am doing it other than my closest relatives.\u00a0 I don\u2019t share links on Facebook.\u00a0 I put the blog link at the end of my email signature but then I delete it every time I email someone.\u00a0 I have to move past the fear!<\/em>
\nI am getting direction that it is coming to the time that I have to open myself up and share what I have to say.\u00a0 I want to be heard when I\u2019m involved in conversations.\u00a0 I see my input having positive effects on others.
\nI must take the chance and share.\u00a0 God isn\u2019t being so good to me just so I can hide my light.<\/em>
\nI must accept that I will be wrong sometimes.
\nI must accept that I will help and make a difference in someone\u2019s life.
\nThe other thing I learned from Reid\u2019s videos is that I have to be willing to be the sales person of my book.\u00a0 He said the publisher is responsible to put the book in the stores and the author is responsible for getting it to move out.\u00a0 This is not what I was expecting.
\nEarlier this week the Daily Love TV message was about the spiritual lesson of being overwhelmed.\u00a0 Mastin Kipp provided a great lesson to remember – when we are overwhelmed we are growing.\u00a0 So I must not let feeling overwhelmed be a reason to stop moving forward.
\nI am writing this blog today in the hope of finding a way to get comfortable with these new possibilities so I can move into acceptance.
\nDear God, when I was a child I said I wanted to be a writer.\u00a0 I found my inner child again a couple of years ago so I long to fulfill those childhood dreams.\u00a0 I write. \u00a0I am a writer.\u00a0 I reap the gifts of bliss and inspiration from doing the thing I love.\u00a0 I see my creative act fill the pages with stories and ideas that I am proud of.\u00a0 I see the creative act fill my body, mind, and spirit with life.
\nWhat\u2019s next Lord? I am listening. Just give it to me slowly, one step at a time so I can keep my fear of the unknown in check.
\nI believe.
\nI believe I will be given what I need to take the next step.
\nI am well.
\nI am supported.
