T-11-III The Dark Companions.

“The Holy Spirit cannot speak to an unwelcoming host, because He will not be heard.” (1.2)

“The children of light cannot abide in darkness, for darkness is not in them.” (9.8)

“For you cannot understand wholeness unless you are whole, and no part of the Son can be excluded if he would know the wholeness of his Father.” (12.3)

As I read this section, my mind was on a classmate who defended the dark, the use of aggression, at our last seminary weekend which made me feel judgement and uncomfortable. But something has now shifted in me.

As I read paragraph 11, I had the thought, ‘what kind of energy am I extending toward her with all these thoughts I have of her? I am meant to ‘give His peace’ (11.2) to her, this companion of mine.’

We all journey back to our Self at our own pace. I can hold up the light for those ready to see it and choose its guidance.
