T-6.VI The Call to Awake.

I strongly identify with Type 1 on the Enneagram chart; Type 1- the need to be perfect (per Rohr & Ebert, ‘The Enneagram, A Christian Perspective’ (Crossroads, 2020). I mention this because the following from this section got my attention:

“You would be in an impossible situation if God showed you your perfection and proved to you that you were wrong.” (3.2)

Robert Perry, in is commentary for Day 100, explained that this section is a response to the question of why doesn’t God save us from this crazy world. God’s way is ‘the kindest solution possible’. (2.2) God’s way is to use our gifts, our eternal perfection, to wake ourselves from this illusion and to choose differently. We are given HS and Christ Jesus to aid us.

Instead of looking to make a perfect world, I should shift to awareness of the perfection in me, my true Self. This change of mind will change the world that I see.
