ACIM CE Text notes – Day 31

T-2.I.13-26 The Real Meaning of Possession, paragraphs 13 -26.

1-31-2025

The 4th of 4 ways we are driven to find connection is: Type 4. Possession through seeking knowledge including confusion of mind and brain. (Habit of attributing non-physical experiences to physical mechanics.)

As I consider this discussion on possession, I feel negativity coming from this word. We deny the idea of being possessed by God. I want to change that thought into more positive language for me … my granddaughter comes to mind.

R. will be two next month. When she wants to be held by one of us, she reaches her arms toward us and moves her fingers. A couple of weeks ago, I took her to an indoor kids’ playground. When she walked through the gate, and could see the whole play area with towers, slides, and ball-pits, she put her arms out toward it just like when she wants a hug from her adults. The message I got from this  was “I want you (playground), to be part of  me”. This is what I think her young, yet to be blocked, mind is calling for – belonging.

Therefore, I will ease my subconscious mind by transferring ideas of possession by God to belonging to God. And God belongs to me.

I belong to Jesus and Jesus belongs to me.

I belong to HS and HS belongs to me.

I belong to Christ and Christ belongs to me.
