The holy Christ is born in me today.

“Watch with angels, watch with me today.”

Today I felt the same thing to the wording of this lesson as I felt last year. It is as though it is saying Christ is being born and not already present in me. And, that Christ is separate from me.

The image that is easing my confusion is that of a cloud covered sky that blocks the Sun. I accept that I form clouds (blocks) in the sky of my consciousness but the Sun (the Christ) is still my Source of life, reaching to and nourishing my world.

More thoughts came a short time later …

God is always birthing something new. And there are cycles, life and death comes. Perhaps ‘birth’ here is a metaphor for growth – new awarenesses coming into me.

On circleofa.org, Lesson 303 notes, they mention Mother Mary saying, “Be it done to me according to Your Will.” This reminds me that God continues to offer new experiences to grow us. I say ‘yes’ to the next thing offered to be birthed in me, for me, and for the world.

I found this lesson confusing at first as it implied Christ in me was only beginning. I returned to Part II, Chapter 6, ‘What is Christ?’ for re-assurance that Christ in me is what I thought … always and eternal.

“Let Christ be welcome where He is at home.”

Ok, I am just being reminded that Christ is in me.

“He has not left his holy home, nor lost the innocence in which He was created.” ~ W.II.6..4

The prayer section of this lesson is not for me. There is not an ‘evil self’ that I made … misguided, yes. (Perhaps the Course defines ‘evil’ different to what I think.) But also, the words of the prayer speak to me as if Christ is separate from me.

Instead, my thoughts go to a flower blossom who is growing toward its blooming and expression of her Christ within.
