Sickness is but another name for sin. Healing is but another name for God. The miracle is thus a call to Him.

Healing = God = Love.

Healing = Love.

Healing is being in the flow of the river of Love, which is also the river of God. This has meaning for me as I find I still feel some resistance to the word ‘God’. I think it is because I expect others to feel resistance to the use of the name God as they think of the patriarchal old man on a throne. I have come to feel at ease saying, ‘God is Love’ as this takes my mind to a cosmic spirit idea of God.

So much pain has been created in this world in the name of God. Healing as another name for God would be a difficult concept to share. Letting Love flow to and through us, I can easily accept it as healing.

Dear Great Love, this world needs healing. Let us open to the flow of the Love that surrounds us. May everyone welcome it in.

Here is my prayer for my community who might struggle with this lesson:

Dear God, please bring your grace over this lesson. Ease the hearts of all those who find resistance to understanding, and its miracle. Help us to understand. And to feel Your Love flow in our bodies, and bring Your light to every cell in our system. Bless us all in a field of Your Love. Amen.
