The past is over. It can touch me not.

Unless I leg go of judging things by my past memories, I am not seeing what is before me. How often I have looked at my loved ones and judged their appearance against past experiences and expectations. They want to be seen as their true Selves just as I do.

There is a saying attributed to Maya Angelo:  “When people show you who they are, believe them.”

I have never liked this because I took it as holding onto a negative belief about someone. I believe people grow and change toward the positive. I believe in forgiveness. I try to find the best in others.

The Course teaches that we are all Holy Children of God. For me this means that I am to get to where I can see that in everyone. Long loving looks is what everyone deserves. This allows me time to remove the judgements of the past that cloud my eyes so I can truly see.

“(I)n a present world the past has left untouched and free of sin.”

I free the past and all my loved ones who I mistakenly created false thoughts. Forgiveness I use to free myself and my beloveds.

All is now clear. <3
