ACIM CE Text notes – Day 296

T-25-VIII Justice Returned to Love.

10-23-2025

“For love and justice are not different. Because they are the same does mercy stand at God’s right hand and give the Son of God the power to forgive himself of sin.” [CE T-25.VIII.9:7-8]

Several years ago, my siblings and I had a conversation about justice. Each one had a different perspective. I found the word meaningless as I don’t see it actually exists in this world. So, when the word pops up, I take notice and try to understand it still.

I’m thinking now, after reading this section, that justice is action toward someone because of their worth. In this world we decide someone ‘deserves’ something because of what they did (punishment) or what was done to them (retribution) and that justice. God sees all of us as our eternal, innocent, Children of God so are all worthy of all.

“It is His [HS’s] special function to hold out to you the gifts the innocent deserve.” [CE T-25.VIII.9:3]

In paragraph 1 of this section, it tells us that it is Heaven’s idea that no one has to loose for me to gain.
