My mind holds only what I think with God.

This is the main idea for reflection during the 10 days of Review 4. To help this idea to sit better with us, Robert Perry, in his lesson commentary (circleofA.org), offered a couple of alternatives:

My mind does hold only what I think with God.

My mind does hold only what I think with You.

I took this one step further to help the idea settle in me:

My mind does hold only what I think with Love.

For the 5 minute practice meditations, Robert suggested:

… to simply try to imagine a state in which I am receiving and joining with God’s thoughts, rather than thinking up my own, almost like when you synchronize your breathing with someone.

I liked this idea of breathing through the practice periods. I feel I needed the extra insights that Robert’s commentaries offered to engage with the review of this group of lessons.

Robert also suggested that, as we are focusing on one primary idea in our practices, that these 10 review days are in actuality one long lesson. We are going deep in contemplation of the thoughts our mind thinks with God.

Wow! Did I uncover alot!

“My mind holds only what I think with God.”

“ … to place His Mind is charge of all the thoughts you will receive that (this) day.”

With my seminary retreat coming up next week, my thoughts were that it was good to come to review so I might step away from the lessons. This introduction has inspired me to think about how I might reflect on the lessons throughout my days away from home.

The statement we are meant to repeat with each lesson review I find does not connect me easily to spirit, so I thought to simplify it. Here is what I have come up with:

‘God, You’ve got this!’

I’m feeling good about bringing this into my practice.

“My mind holds only what I think with God.”

‘God, You’ve got this!’

“My mind holds only what I think with God.”

At first, I thought of this statement as needing my evaluation or judgement. Is it true or false?

Few people could say this is true as we hold tightly to our worldly perceptions. I realized it is meant to be a declaration, like ‘I am a Holy Child of God’.

Understanding this pulls my beliefs, faith, and hope into a better direction. So, I remind myself of the importance of this statement in my growth.

“My mind holds only what I think with God.”

121] Forgiveness is the key to happiness.

122] Forgiveness offers everything I want.
