God is my Source. I cannot see apart from Him.

“You cannot see apart from God because you cannot be apart from God.”

In the language of ACIM, perception is human vision through all the cloudy lenses of judgement that we carry. As the early ‘undoing’ lessons show us, we put meaning onto everything. This disturbing realization is turn around as we are told that HS uses our perception to get our thoughts back to God.

“Healed perception becomes the means by which the Son of God for gives his brother, and thus forgives himself.”

We are on our way to seeing life differently … being guided and Loved as we grow.

This is an important lesson on perception.

In the first paragraph it is explained, we only perceive the false world, which forms our thoughts, whereas God only holds true knowledge. The Holy Spirit is the gift to us to broaden our perception, to bring us knowledge we require for God’s plan.

Then, in the second paragraph, we are told that God can use our perception for healing (salvation) by softening our perception toward others and to bring forgiveness to ourselves.

As I read this lesson, and found the depth and understanding in the words, I had the thought that I would not have understood this so clearly without the change in my perception that occurred during my practice last evening.

I am in God.

My seeing tries to pierce through the field of Love to control the world and make it how I want to see it. Today, I ease my vision to see what HS manages for me, to see.
